If there is someone who is the ‘friend,
philosopher and guide’ of Tejus, then
it is none other than Shri. N. R. Achan. A former
Chairman of Catholic Syrian Bank, Shri. N. R.
Achan is a true philanthropist hailing from
the same Kuthanur village. Since the day he
came to know about Tejus, he has been taking
active interests in the
development of Tejus at every stage.
Besides, he is a true guide of the Tejus authorities
in going ahead with their activities.
THAPOVAN VIDHYALAYA TRUST
If Tejus has its own piece of land today, it
is because of the generous donation by the chairman Mr. EYATTIL DIVAKARAN and the trustee members of Kuthanur
Thapovan Vidhyalaya Trust. The Trust donated
1.5 acres of land including a building in Padappanal
in Kuthanur on 9th April 2006 to Tejus. What
is more, they even registered the land in the
name of Tejus to avoid further financial liabilities
for Tejus. With the help of well-wishers, Tejus
now owns a building in the‘Thapovana Gramam’
to house its classrooms and office room.
Tejus was celebrating the Independence Day of
India in 2005, when the 72-year old Shri. Sethumadhavan
visit Tejus. He was so moved by the enthusiasm
of the children during the cultural activities
and the dedication of the Tejus members. After
spending a lot of time with the children, he
handed over a Rs. 10, 000 cheque as donation
to the Trust. That was one of the biggest donations,
Tejus had received until then.
An NRI, Shri. Eshwaran made a generous donation
of Rs. 50, 000 towards the construction of the
building at the Tapovanam Gramam.
